Biographical Notes

Sachimi Garcia dos Santos
Art Director/ Graphic Designer

- Born in Leuven, Belgium, in 1970. Brazilian citizen, daughter of Brazilian father and Japanese mother.

- Grows up and is educated in several countries (Belgium, USA, Brazil, Japan, and Puerto Rico), becoming truly multi-cultural.

- Fluent in Portuguese, Japanese, French, and English.

- Graduates in Advertisement at the Centre des Arts Décoratifs, in Brussels, Belgium, in 1991.

- Works for six months as intern at Grey Advertising in Brussels (1991).

- Is hired by the same agency as junior graphic designer through 1993.

 

- Is hired by the same agency as junior graphic designer through 1993.

- Moves to Sao Paulo in 1993 and joins Norton Publicidade as art director (1993-1997).

- Silver Lion at Cannes ’96 (Press & Poster)

- Co-founds Indigo in 1998, working as partner, art director, and graphic designer until 2000.

- Founds S-unlimited in 2000, focussing on creation and management of visual communication projects for clients in several industries, with particular emphasis on fashion and textile.

- Develops photographic essays.
